Zach Smith Obituary (1991 - 2023)

Zachery Lee Smith Lansing, MI Passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2023, at the age of 31. Born July 12, 1991, to Roland Smith and Angie (McCabe) Johnson in Lansing, Michigan. Zach was a graduate of Lansing Eastern High School class of 2009. He went on to work as a truck driver and worked for various local companies including H&R, Warren Transportation and FedEx. He enjoyed his work because it allowed him to travel to many areas of the United States. Zach loved living life on the farm in Williamston. He enjoyed the outdoors where he could fish, ride quads and spend time with his dog, Remi. Zach was sociable and loved spending time with his friends and playing video games. He was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who remember him. Preceding him in death were his grandmother, Lois Richards and grandfathers, Richard Smith and William Jones. Surviving is his girlfriend, Theresa Ruddick; parents, Angie (Chris) Johnson, Roland (Kari) Smith, siblings, Kameron (Cari) Gaffney, Bree-anna Howard; stepsiblings, Kassandra (Ron) Heimgartner, Kirsten (Dillon) Szpaicher, Carla Johnson, Taylor Beckwith; grandmother, Elaine Jones, cousins, Brendyn (Kyleigh) McCabe, Brandyn McCabe, Cody Furgala as well as many aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
