William Dennis "Denny" Odom
Mason, Michigan

Passed away on Monday, June 16, 2025 at the age of 71. Born on December 9, 1953 to Ernest and Willene (Morris) Odom in Bamberg, South Carolina. A graduate of Holt High School class of 1972, Denny went on to work in Student Housing for Michigan State University where he would later retire. Outside of his work life, Denny was a man of many passions. In his younger years, he was an avid golfer and bowler, and he spent countless hours landscaping his home, which he took immense pride in. Denny was also a dedicated collector, with a particular fondness for coins. He enjoyed rooting for his Michigan State Spartans and Detroit Tigers, sharing his love for sports with all those around him. Above all, Denny was a loving family man, and his most cherished moments were spent with family and friends. He never missed his children’s sporting events and was always there to cheer them on. One of his greatest joys in life was becoming a “Papa” and he relished the time he spent snuggling his grandkids. Denny was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who remember him.

Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Odom; children, Chad (Julie) Odom, Ginger (Austin Havasy) Every; grandchildren, Grace and Oliver Odom; sister, Robin (Erik) Mackey as well as many extended family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents, Ernest and Willene Odom, and his brother, Randy Odom.
