Virginia Faye "Ginger" Tate Obituary (1938 - 2019)

Virginia Faye "Ginger" Tate Lansing Passed away on Monday, April 1, 2019 at the age of 80. Born September 17, 1938 to Fayette and Ruth (Simison) Tate in Lansing, Michigan. Ginger was a lifelong resident of Lansing where she worked for General Motors Main Plant for 16 years then went to work for Mario's Party Store for nearly 20 more years retiring just before her 80th birthday. Ginger loved spending time with her family and hosting Sunday dinners. Preceding her in death were her daughter, Alice Newton; brothers, Bob and Gary; sisters, Bert and Tootie as well as her parents. Surviving are her sons, Gerald (Teri) Carter, Kenneth (Karen) Carter, Danny (Becky Shinevar) Carter; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Ike Tate as well as many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Ginger's life will be held from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the American Legion Post 48, 731 N. Clinton Street, Grand Ledge, Michigan.
