Vaughn G. Conroy Obituary (1914 - 2012)

Formerly of Lansing, MI passed away on Monday, August 20 at the age of 98. Vaughn was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors. He worked for General Motors, Fisher Body plant for over 27 years and retired from there. He also worked for the Civilian Conservation Corps, and drove truck for a short period. He is preceded in death by his great grandson; Donovan Bussell, and several brothers and sisters. Vaughn is survived by his daughters, Jackie (Rev. Robert) Babcock, Sharon (Rev. David) Frederick, Mary Hanke; sons, Donald (Tish) Conroy, Dale (Pam) Conroy, Gary (Sally) Conroy, Jon (Debby) Conroy; 17 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; brother, George (Mary) Conroy; sister, June Criss; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 24, 2012 11:00 AM at Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Vaughn had a one of a kind personality and a great sense of humor; he will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
