Vane Fredrick Jory Obituary (1958 - 2011)

Vane Fredrick Jory Passed away Monday, May 02, 2011 at the age of 52. Born May 5, 1958 to Vane and Doris Jory. Fred graduated from Holt High School in 1976, he then attended Grand Valley State University, where he was an outstanding athlete on the football team. He honorable served his county for 14 years in the US Navy as a member of the Seabees. Fred had an extreme passion for NASCAR, he never missed a race. He was also a Wolverine and Redwing fan. Among being an avid outdoorsman, Fred was an insatiable fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed sitting by the camp fire and spending his free time with family up north. Fred is preceded in death by his mother. Surviving Fred are his wife, Deb; Daughters, Danielle (Drew) Nowak, Nichole, Ashley; grandchildren, Anna, Tyler, Abby, Lydon and father, Vane (Libby) Jory. Funeral services will be held for Fred on Friday, May 6, 2011 at First Assembly of God in East Lansing. The family will receive friends at the church at 11:00 am to 12:00 pm with the service to follow. There will be a luncheon to follow at the church.
