Uvah Fay Wright Obituary (1931 - 2016)

Uvah F. Wright Lansing, MI Passed away on Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at age 84. Born September 8, 1931 to Edward and Rhoda (Sanders) O'Bryant in St. Louis, Michigan. Uvah worked many years for Kent Deluxe Cleaners. She also worked as a crossing guard for Mt. Hope and Atwood Schools. After losing her husband to POW/MIA she was left with the responsibility of raising their four children on her own. Uvah enjoyed gardening, bingo and was an avid MSU fan. She loved her dog, Sanford who will miss her dearly. Uvah is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Wright; brothers, Kenneth O'Bryant, Jim O'Bryant, Bill O'Bryant; son-in-law, Phillip Torok and her parents. Surviving are her daughter, Mary Torok of Holt; sons, Edward Wright of Panama City, FL, Arthur (Beth) Wright of Eaton Rapids, John Wright of Oshkosh, WI; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister, Iva Theron; brothers, Edward O'Bryant, John (Ruth) O'Bryant, Daniel O'Bryant as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel. Visitation will be held from 10:00 - 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
