Socorro Portillo Obituary (1937 - 2023)

Socorro Portillo Lansing Passed away on Monday, December 4, 2023 at the age of 86. Born June 28, 1937 to Raphael and Florencia (Sanchez) Portillo in Chihuahua, Mexico. Socorro worked for Wohlert Corporation in Lansing where he retired. He enjoyed having a good time, listening to Mexican music and dancing. Socorro also liked spending time going to the lake swimming and going fishing with his family. Socorro liked doing puzzles, playing card games, and dominos. He was loved and will be missed dearly by his family and friends. Preceding him in death were his parents; his siblings Ramon, Jovita, Lupe, Marianna, Avodio, and grandson, McKenzie Inosencio. Surviving are his children, Virginia Portillo, Socorro (Jessica Inosencio) Portillo, Jr., Christopher (Tracie) Portillo; grandchildren, Erica Wilson, Avery Portillo, Savannah Portillo, Alivia Portillo, Saige Portillo, Morgan Inosencio; sister Virginia Portillo as well as many nieces and nephews. A memorial graveside service will be held at Rosehill Cemetery in Eaton Rapids in the Spring of 2024.
