Of Lansing, MI passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at the age of 87. Shirley was born on February 25, 1929 in Fife Lake, MI the daughter of Glenn and Almeda Weaver. She was a graduate of Wayne Memorial High School class of 1948. Shirley was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed bowling and playing cards but above all she was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her time spent with her family. Shirley is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Don Marhofer and 8 siblings.
Surviving are her daughters, Diane (Ernie) Macreno, Doreen Pierce, Donna Martine; sons, Don (Virginia) Marhofer, David Marhofer; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, brother-in-law, Kenneth Marhofer and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Okemos Community Church. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at Fife Lake Cemetery.
