Shirlene Ann Harris Obituary (1935 - 2017)

Shirlene Ann Harris Dansville, MI Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, November 23, 2017 at the age 81. Born November 24, 1935 to Alvin and Lorene (Hoag) Reichelt in Sparta, Michigan. Shirlene was co-owner of the Dansville Veterinary Clinic with her husband until he died in 1995; after which time she became owner/ operator of the business. For many years, she was the Community Leader for the Dansville Four Leaf Clovers 4H Club. Shirlene was a devout Christian who faithfully served all of the churches she attended. She enjoyed cooking, baking and entertaining family and friends. Shirlene will forever be remembered as a loving woman who was always willing to open her door to others and help those in need. Preceding her in death were her parents; step-father, William Larsen and her husband, Dr. George Harris, DVM. Surviving are her children, Bruce (Barbara) Harris, Dawn (Joseph) Contreras, David (Lisa) Harris; grandchildren, Brian (Bailey) Harris, Adam Cornell, Kaitlin (Vance) Bowers, Sandy (Scott) Kelley, Joseph Contreras Jr., Jamie (Jacob) King, Mary Harris, Andrew Harris; 5 great-grandchildren and sister-in-laws, Dr. Gail Harris and Kathleen Harris. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at Mason First Church of the Nazarene. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Friday at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel and one hour prior to the service Saturday at the church.
