Romane "Roe" Jay Cushman Obituary (1934 - 2010)

Passed away May 27, 2010 at the age of 75. Born October 11, 1934 in Lansing, MI to Glenn and Ethel (Miller) Cushman Sr.. Romane retired from Motor Wheel where he worked as a Quality Control Inspector. Roe was an outdoorsman who enjoyed the shoreline, bird watching, and gardening. He loved spending time with all of his family, especially vacationing with them. Romane was a loving man that will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Arlene and granddaughter, Jamie Mandeville. Surviving are his soul mate, Lillian Wenzel; daughters, Narlene "Sue" (Jeffrey) Lyijnen, Debra (Mark) VanHook, Linda (Dennis Mattson) Cushman, Sheri (Tim) Mandeville; son, Roderick (Melissa) Cushman; grandchildren, Jesse Mattson, Jeremiah Murray, Jennifer Lyijnen, Ryan (Hillary) Cushman, Nicholas (Tori) Murray, Jason Lyijnen, Thomas Lyijnen, Laura Mandeville, Khristina Mattson, Steven Mandeville, Jacob Mandeville; great grandchildren, Jessica Murray, Alyssa Kopulos, Aiden Lyijnen, Roman Cushman as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home 101 W. Jolly Rd Lansing, MI 48910. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2-4pm & Monday from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
