Went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at the age of 82. The youngest of five boys born to Kenneth and Helen (DuBois) Grant in Lansing, Michigan. Roger honorably served his country in the US Army. He went on to work as a self-employed wallpapering and painting contractor where he later retired. Roger was a member of Bretton Woods Covenant Church in Lansing until he was unable to attend. Before he became sick, Roger enjoyed the outdoors where he would go camping, fishing and canoeing. He had a sweet tooth for chocolate and loved his cats, especially Angel. Preceding him in death were his parents and three brothers.
Surviving are his wife, Brenda Greene; step-sons, Joshua Nowell, J.P. Joldersma; step-grandchildren, Kaylee Nowell, Jordon Nowell, Xander Nowell; brother, Richard Grant as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Bretton Woods Covenant Church, 925 Bretton Road, Lansing, MI. Family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at the church.
