Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Thursday, September 24, 2026 at the age of 76. Born November 22, 1949 to Harry and Clara (Blakney) Burch in Lansing, Michigan. Phyllis, or “Jeanie,” as she was affectionately known, spent her life in the Mason area. She attended Okemos High School and was a part of the graduating class of 1968. Phyllis went on to work for Dart Container retiring in 2015 after 47 years of loyal hard work. Phyllis was homebody who enjoyed playing solitaire, doing her puzzles and word searches. She enjoyed watching NASCAR and her beloved Detroit Tigers. She was country music fan and especially enjoyed listening to Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, and Tammy Wynette. Most of all, Phyllis cherished the time she was able to spend with her family and especially loved her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Phyllis was loved by many and will be missed dearly by all who remember her. Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Norman (JoAnn) Burch, and sister-in-law, Dawne Burch.

Surviving is her children, Nancy (Robert) Burch, Vance (Maggie) Burch; grandchildren, Amanda Burch, Josh (Sasha Braman) Burch, Brian Burch, Kimberly (Mike) DePue, John Lambert, Harley Burch; great grandchildren, Mercedes (Devon Decker) McGee, Jazmyn and Landen Burch, Corbin and Aiden DePue, Sebastion Chope; great-great grandkids, Aurora and Storm Decker; brother, Ken Burch; best friend and “sister,” Nancy Rivera; beloved grand dog, Nora as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 5, 2026 at Skinner Funeral Home, 101 W. Jolly Rd. Lansing, MI 48910.
