Passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the age of 84. Born April 13, 1937 to Jose and Refujia (Carauajal) Marin in Mineral, Texas. Peter married the love of his life, Mary, on her birthday on May 16, 1964. This was the beginning of a storybook romance novel. They kept their vows to the very end. They were married for 57 years and died within 72 hours of each other. Pete worked for Motor Wheel where he retired. He was a Dallas Cowboy and New York Yankees fan. You could tell his love for gardening by the display of the beautiful flowers and vegetables he grew. Pete enjoyed landscaping which gave him the opportunity to help others. He also enjoyed going to the casino and playing lottery scratch offs. His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren teaching them many things, including how to grill. Preceding him in death were his siblings, Jose (Magdalena) Marin, Louisa Ramero, Valentino Marin as well as his parents.
Surviving are his children, Gloria Marin Taylor, Melinda Marin, Juan (Cassandra) Marin; grandchildren, Jose (Allysa ) Marin, Zachary (Hannah) Spalding, Thaddeus (Brooke) Spalding, Jessie Rae (Matthew) Garza, Juan Marin Jr., Angelica Gonzalez, Miguel Marin, Meranda Marin, Diego Marin; 16 great-grandchildren; siblings, Ricardo Marin, Antonio Marin, Alfonso (Ruth) Marin, Celia (Corando) Marin; brother-in-law, Mike Ramero as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held jointly with his wife, Mary at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel. Family will receive friends for visitation on Friday one hour prior to the service. To share memories and condolences please visit www.SkinnerFuneralHomes.com
