Patricia Ann (Raymond) Pierson led a beautiful life. Beauty contains both pain and pleasure and she had her share of both. No matter what life handed her, she remained positive and upbeat, and she never spent more than a second feeling sorry for herself. "What was the point in that?" she might ask. Pat was predeceased by her husband Donald, with whom she raised three good humans. All she ever asked of us was to be good humans; being happy was a fringe benefit. Sadly, Pat was also predeceased by her youngest daughter Tricia who died in 1986 after an eight-year battle with leukemia. Tragedy struck again in 2020 when her son Troy succumbed to a massive stroke. Pat's oldest daughter Tammy (Pierson) Gibbons moved from Oregon back to Michigan to handle family affairs and was proud to spend the last two years taking care of Pat and her husband Bernard Palmer. Pat and Bernie recently moved into an assisted living facility where they enjoyed the carefree life they had earned. It was a shock to all when Pat awoke on July 4th and collapsed from a stroke, ultimately succumbing on July 12th.
When mom had an opinion on something, it was set in stone. One of those opinions was that she did not want a funeral service. We are honoring her wishes in every way, including having no service. But the family would love to hear from all her friends and loved ones who join us in missing her. Please share your favorite memories of her on this memorial wall, or contact Tammy by email: maggiesweet@gmail.com. Your words will bring great comfort to the family as we deal with this tremendous loss.
Thank you to all who have shaped us into who we are with your kindness and love. My mother will be missed by many.
