Monte Klopp Obituary (1951 - 2022)

Montgomery P. "Monte" Klopp Lansing Passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at the age of 70. Born October 23, 1951 to Philip and Martha (Dershem) Klopp in St. Johns, Michigan. Monte had formerly worked for D&K Trucking before opening up his own auto and truck repair shop, Monte's Repair. Later he went on to be a truck driver and spent over twenty years making trips from Michigan to California. Monte's passion was working on cars and building race cars from the ground up. He competed in drag racing for many years and built race cars that would race competitively. Monte loved spending time with his family and especially enjoyed his time with his grandchildren. He was loved by many and will be missed by all who remember him. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Craig Klopp. Surviving is his wife, Terry Klopp; children, Thomas (Jamie) Klopp, Kenneth (Toscha) Klopp, Faye (Thomas) Simpson; grandchildren, Aaron, Bryon (Alexandra), Chloe, Darren, Ethan, Cameron, Marcus, Anthony, Philip; great grandson, Elliott; brother, Randall Klopp; sister, Judy (Milton) Hitchcock; sister-in-law, G'Ane (Pete) Mireles as well as many nieces and nephews.
