Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at the age of 63. Born October 25, 1961 to W.D. and Mary (Knox) Martin in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Mary worked as a Bank Teller for Comerica Bank in Lansing where she retired. She was the Matriarch of her family and enjoyed being a full-time mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved everyone with a heart of gold and a welcoming home. Mary was loved greatly and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Preceding her in death were her siblings, Climmie Martin, Vernon Knox, Cora Brown, Willie D. Brown; God-sister, Michelle Jones, as well as her parents.

Surviving are her children, Dennis Martin Sr., Derrick (David) Nelson, Summers (Kenneth) Batten, Jalen Walker, Jay (Hardica) Walker, Dejanae Walker, Petrica Walker; grandchildren, Dennis Martin Jr., Kimora Hartwell, Siarrah Martin, David Hartwell, Da’Varrion Martin; siblings, Earline (Donald) Solomon, Priscilla Martin, Debra Martin, Barbara Martin, Stephen Martin, W.D. Martin, Maryalice Martin, Doristein Starnes, Climmie Jean Pulley as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Visitation for Mary will be held on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 from 6-8 p.m. at Skinner Funeral Home Lansing Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Paradise Missionary Baptist Church, 3403 Franette Rd. Lansing, MI 48906.
