Lena M. Wells

Age 90, died Monday, August 15, 2011 at her brother's residence following a stroke. Born November 4, 1920 in Haslett, the daughter of Roland and Laura (Bailey) Weaver. Lena had worked for the Horner Woolen Mills and later was a nanny for the Dr. Albert Meinke family. She was a former member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary, loved traveling with her former husbands and considered her mother her best friend. She loved animals of all kinds raising parakeets, cats and feeding wild birds and squirrels. Preceding her in death were her parents; 2 husbands, Robert Reams and Nicholas Wells.
Surviving are her brother Ted (Dolly) Weaver of Eaton Rapids; and 5 nieces and nephews, Bruce Weaver, Charlotte (Bob) Kendregan, Susan (Kent) McDaniels, Julie (Mike) Wright and Jon Weaver.
Memorial services for Lena will be Thursday, August 18th at 1:00 PM from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. Cremation will take place and ashes will be buried next to her husband in the Rosehill Cemetery in Eaton Rapids
