LaVerne Ellwood Cook Obituary (1939 - 2023)

LaVerne Ellwood Cook Holt, MI Passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at the age of 84. Born September 14, 1939 to Clifford and Lucinda (Dorr) Cook in Lansing, Michigan. Verne worked in home construction as a dry wall finisher. He loved his family and will be missed dearly by all who remember him. Preceding him in death were his sons, Jason Cook, James Cook; brothers, Dennis (Mary) Beach, Ford (Joann) Cook, Emerald (Barb) Cook, Delbert (Vera) Cook, as well as his parents. Surviving is his wife, Vicki Cook; brother, Clifford (Kay) Cook; daughters, Linda Cook, Shelly Stuber; sons, LaVerne (Kim) Cook Jr., David (Donna) Cook, Byron (Margaret) Cook, Dannie (Tina) Stuber as well as 36 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. A memorial service and luncheon will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, October 14, 2023 at Parker Memorial Baptist Church, Lansing MI.
