Joyce M.L. Deshong Obituary (1931 - 2013)

Joyce M.L. Deshong Lansing, MI Passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at the age of 82. Born on May 19, 1931 in Escanaba, MI. Joyce moved to Lansing where she married her husband Earl Deshong in 1951 and raised her family there. She worked for the State of Michigan as a secretary and retired after 25 years. She was a long time member of the Kingdom Hall in Holt and worked for several years in field ministries. She loved finding bargains at garage sales and acquired an extensive collection of books. She is preceded in death by her parents, and daughter, Cheryl. Surviving are her husband, sons, Stephen (Julie) Deshong, of Lansing, David (Diane) Deshong, of Kalamazoo; 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and brother, Kenneth (June) Carlson. Services will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 11:00 am at Skinner Funeral Home Lansing Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 10:00 am.
