Joan Marie Salogar

Joan Marie (Couture) Salogar, 69, of Dansville passed away peacefully while surrounded by her family on December 1, 2021 at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing.
Joan was born January 5, 1952 in Bay City, Michigan to Charles and Ethel (Monville) Couture and was the youngest of three siblings. Joan was famous for her crafts, particularly knitting with yarn that she spun and dyed herself. She enjoyed her Shih Tzu dogs, reading Stephen King novels, attending fiber festivals and gardening.
Preceding Joan in death were her parents. Joan is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Mark Salogar. Also surviving Joan are sisters Sharron Marchlewicz of Traverse City and Bonnie Sommers of Bay City; sons Graham (Amy) Salogar of Ithaca and Andrew (Marian) Salogar of Lansing as well as her four grandchildren: Katey, Ali, Josh, and Zander, and her beloved Shih Tzu, Ginger.
As per her wishes, Joan will be cremated and a memorial service will take place in the future at a date and location to be determined.
