Passed away on Wednesday April 23, 2025 at the age of 66 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on November 7, 1958 to David and Carol (Ostrander) Hernandez in Lansing, Michigan. Jane spent her years living a life that was full of love and laughter. She was a dedicated mortgage servicer at MSU FCU until her retirement in 2019. In her younger years she was a passionate bowler and enjoyed competing in leagues at Holiday Lanes. Jane was a dedicated euchre player always looking forward to her card parties with her girlfriends. Most of all Jane loved the special moments she was able to spend with her family spending time camping and taking trips to the family property in LeRoy, Michigan. She was a true matriarch for her family, an unwavering pillar of support and love, always prioritizing her family above all else. Jane endured a lot over the past years and was a beacon of strength and resilience to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Surviving are her husband, Jose Perez; children, Alicia Perez, Jose (Melissa Palacio) Perez; grandchildren, Israel Martinez, Jalene Gonzalez, Mario Gomez, Jasenia Perez, Jose Perez II, Jordan Perez, Josiah Perez; great grandchildren, Kane Martinez, Katayla Martinez; brothers, Art (Rose) Hernandez, Mike (Sandy) Hernandez, Jerry (Cathy) Hernandez, Tim (Maggie) Hernandez, Ken (Kara) Hernandez as well as many nieces and nephews. Jane always wondered what it would be like to have a sister and instead had to settle with many close girlfriends including, Vicki Pulido and Debbie Lerma. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at Skinner Funeral Home – Lansing Chapel. Family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service.
