Passed away Sunday, July 13, 2014 at age 78. He was born March 18, 1936 to Fred and Ruby Stringham in Lansing Michigan. Jim was an alumnus of Alma College before serving in the U.S. Army. After discharge he went on to work for Ingham Medical in the Procurement Department from which he would later retire. Jim was a member of the Retired Employees organization at Ingham Medical and ultimately became president of that organization. He also was a member of the VFW. His hobby was collecting movie memorabilia and writing articles on that subject. He was involved in the Active Living for Adults program and offered historical commentary on movie serials on cable TV. Preceding him in death were his parents. He is survived by his sister, Jil (Robert) Davidson of Bradenton, Florida as well several nieces, nephews and many friends.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2014 in the chapel at Deepdale Memorial Gardens, 4108 Old Lansing Rd, Lansing, MI 48917. For online condolences please visit www.SkinnerFuneralHomes.com
