Jalayne Bailey

Jalayne Faye Bailey, a beacon of laughter and love, passed away on November 14, 2024, leaving a rich tapestry of memories woven with humor, affection, and devotion. Born on March 23, 1958, in Howell, Michigan, Jalayne's compassion for others and warm-hearted spirit were her trademarks from an early age. She was a loving woman, ever thoughtful and loyal, who found joy in life's simple pleasures.

Jalayne spent her professional life at Sparrow Hospital in Lansing, Michigan, as a Surgical Supply Technician becoming supervisor of her department. Her dedication to her work was only surpassed by her love for her two children, Rachel and Justin, who were her greatest pride and joy. Jalayne's sense of humor, combined with her love for garage sales and antiquing, brought a unique zest to her life.

Jalayne was a beloved mother to Justin (Jocelyn Casker) Bailey, Rachel Bailey and; a cherished sister to, Janice Schubel, Dawn (Rick) Cole, Darcy (Tom) Palazzolo and James (Janice) Risdon as well as several niece and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Eldon and Jeanette Risdon, and her brother-in-law, Tom Schubel.

Jalayne's life will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, with a visitation at 10:00 am, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing Chapel.
