Hendershot Loraine Doris Obituary (1927 - 2008)

Age 80 died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Hospice of Jackson. Born November 25, 1927 in Lansing , one of 10 children born to Morrell and Blanche (Corriell) Hakes. Mrs. Hendershot had worked spanning 37 years of service at 3 Chef's in Mason, Jim's Truck Stop in Jackson, Highfields in Onondaga for 8 years and a School Bus Driver for 15 years with the Leslie School District. She was a faithful member of the Childs Bible Church in Onondaga. Preceding her in death was her son, Roger; 4 brothers, Bob, Don, Ray and Pete Hakes. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Elmer; 6 children, Elmer "Buddy" (Pat) Hendershot of Jacksonville, FL., Delores (Donald) Brown of Dansville, Fred (Janell) Hendershot of Livonia, Debbie Stone of Jackson, Rodney Peterson of Montana and Randy Peterson of Arkansas; 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, David and Doug Hakes; 3 sisters, Ruth Townsend, Marge Akins and Lois Taft; numerous nieces and nephews.??? Funeral services will be Friday, September 19th at 11:00 A.M. from the Skinner Funeral Home at 315 S. River St. Eaton Rapids, MI. 48827. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Leslie. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M
