Harold John "Bud" Mcgeachy Obituary (1922 - 2013)

Harold "Bud" McGeachy Eaton Rapids, MI Passed away on Friday, April 18, 2013 at the age of 91. Bud was born to Ruby and James McGeachy in Port Huron, MI on March 6, 1922. After graduating from Bad Axe High School he served 3 years in the US Navy during WWII. He returned home and married his sweetheart June Simpson. They were married 61 years before her death in 2007. Surviving him are his 3 girls, Jill, Jan, Gail; son-in-law, Raymond Thompson; grandchildren, Micah (Erica), Luke McLaughlin, Vanessa & Garrison Thompson; great grandchildren, Asher & Haven McLaughlin. Bud was a true representative of the greatest generation. He had amazing work ethic; he was resourceful, which was valuable in his carpentry skills, and making something out of nothing. Bud volunteered by sharing his leadership skills, work ethics, and his toolbox with: Robins United Methodist Church /Mission Projects, 4-H, Lions Club, Eaton Rapids Historical Society, and many friends. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, April 30 12:00 PM at Robins United Methodist Church 6419 Bunker Rd. Eaton Rapids, MI 48827. In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be made to Heifer International sent to Jan Lynch P.O. Box 4728 East Lansing, MI 48826 or presented at the service.
