Of Holt, MI passed away on Thursday August 17, 2017at the age of 92. Betty was born in Lansing Township, Michigan on May 30, 1925 to Everett and Bernice (Burris) French. Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband, James D. Cook Sr.;brothers Ron and Alan( Gerrie) French; sisters Phyllis Martin and Janet(Dave) Gamble. She is survived by her children, James D. (Connie) Cook Jr., Timothy J. (Teri) Cook, Kim M.(Vickie) Cook, Jody A. (Ken) Lake; 12 grandchildren, Jamie (Paul) Burnham, Lesley (Brian) Croton, Ryan (Sarah) Cook, Katy (Jamie) Kuras, Jeremy (Kristy) Cook, Roger Bartlett, Jeff (Heather) Bartlett, Lindsay (Adam) Powell, Chris (Andee) Lake, Josh (Jenn) Lake, Tim (Amanda) Lake and Thomas Lake; 25 great grandchildren, Emma, Hannah, Nolan, Brian, Hudson, Posey, Addison, Parker, Avery, Noah, Kayla, Levi, Haley, Dustin, Reanna, Seth, Ava, Wyatt, Corey, Lucy, Laney, Harper, Dax, Quinn, Rylen; brother-in-law, Jack Martin; sister-in-law, Betty French and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 25, 2017 at East Lawn Memory Gardens.
