Dennis John Rochester
Of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the age of 64. Dennis was born on October 12, 1961, the son of Wilson and Carolyn (Hector) Rochester. He was raised in Eaton Rapids, attended school there, and made the community his lifelong home.
Dennis spent much of his adult life working in the scraping industry. Earlier in life, he worked as a dog trainer, a skill he learned from his father and uncle and one that remained a special part of his life.
Dennis enjoyed the simple things that brought him happiness. He loved spending time with his cats, riding his motorcycle, and tinkering with and fixing things. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and especially enjoyed traveling to Northern Michigan, where he loved visiting the lakes, hiking the trails, and kayaking.
Above all, Dennis will be remembered for his huge heart and his genuine willingness and desire to help others. He was always there for his family and friends, never hesitating to lend a helping hand whenever someone needed him. His kindness, generosity, and caring spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Dennis is survived by his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and James Eaton; his daughter, Amber Rochester; grandchildren, Vera Rochester, Prestin Rochester, and Kobe Rochester; great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Taylor Rochester; sister, Laurie Croy; along with numerous extended family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wilson Rochester; sister, Cheri Rochester; and his wives, Linda Rochester and Uvette Rochester.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 19, 2026 at Oakwood Cemetery in Eaton Rapids, MI.
