David Sackrider

David Lee Sackrider, of Leslie, MI, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2024, at the age of 64. Born on October 23, 1959, in Saginaw, MI, David was the cherished son of Robert and Mary (Newbold) Sackrider.
Raised in Leslie, David spent much of his life in the warmth of various group homes throughout the area. His gentle spirit and love for people watching brought him joy, and he found comfort in the presence of family and loved ones. Though his earthly body faced limitations, David has now reunited with his beloved mother in heaven, where they can share conversations they were never able to share here on earth.
David was preceded in death by his mother, Mary. He leaves behind his father, Robert (Cori) Sackrider; his siblings, William (Debi) Sackrider, Robert L. Sackrider, and Annette Winzeler; and his nieces and nephews, Amanda Boyd, William Sackrider, Micah (Tammah) Winzeler, Jeremiah (Andrea) Winzeler, and Elizabeth (Kyle) Pierpont. David was also surrounded by several friends and dedicated caregivers who will remember him fondly.
