Passed away unexpectedly on September 2, 2024 at the age of 65. Born on March 24, 1959, in Grand Rapids, MI, Danny was a charismatic, spirited, and funny soul whose laughter and zest for life were contagious. He was a loyal man with a good heart, albeit a little rough around the edges. Danny left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew him.

Danny was a Hi-lo operator for Gordon Food Service warehouse in Brighton, Michigan from where he retired. His love for physical fitness was evident in his passion for weightlifting and bodybuilding. He was a spirited athlete, having played football and baseball in his younger years. He also enjoyed hunting whenever he was able to get away and enjoy his time in the great outdoors. Danny's love for his dog, Taz, was unparalleled, and the two were inseparable companions. A staunch University of Michigan football fan, his loyalty to his team was a testament to his unwavering spirit. His happiest moments were spent at Silver Lake, riding on the dunes, and camping at Jellystone Park.

Danny is survived by his daughters, Courtney (Jason) VanAken, Megan (Jake) Miedema, Hailey (Chris) Sparks; grandchildren, Grant VanAken, Isabelle Robinson, Kyler Robinson, Peyton Wagner, Sawyer Miedema; sister, Carol (Terry) Lapekes; brother-in-law, Jack Lockwood as well as many nieces and nephews. He was the son of Lester and Pearl Bush, who preceded him in death as well as his sister, Tammy Lockwood. His memory will forever be engrained in the hearts of those who loved him.
