Eaton Rapids, Michigan
Cheryl Jean Bixby
Of Eaton Rapids, MI, passed away on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, at the age of 68. Cheryl was born in Lansing, MI, on May 3, 1958, to Duane and Jean (Wright) English. She was raised in Lansing, where she attended Harry Hill High School, graduating with the class of 1976. Following graduation, Cheryl began working for St. Regis Culvert Company in Charlotte before venturing out on her own and establishing Michigan Runner Service. Operating her business out of Eaton Rapids from 1988 until 2024, Cheryl built it from the ground up through hard work, dedication, and determination.
Cheryl took great pride in her work and the business she worked so hard to establish. When she wasn't working, she enjoyed taking scenic drives throughout the beautiful state of Michigan, often discovering hidden shops and searching for unique antiques along the way. She also appreciated the charm of quaint bed and breakfasts, making each getaway an opportunity to explore somewhere new. Cheryl enjoyed attending theatrical performances, especially when she could share the experience with her husband and grandchildren. Above all, her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who loved making memories with those closest to her and took particular delight in spoiling her grandchildren with gifts and special surprises.
She was preceded in death by her father and stepmother, Duane and Marsha English; and her stepfather, Larry German.
Surviving is her husband of 32 years, Toby Bixby; children, Andrea (Rob) Perry and Jason (Deanna) Krawczyk; mother, Jean German; grandchildren, Olivia Perry, Trevor Perry, Bobby (Alyssa) Perry, Cora Krawczyk, Amelia Krawczyk, and Nolan Krawczyk; great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Thomas Perry; sisters, Brenda Delaney and Lisa (Chris) Hartwig; brother, Scott (June) Ward; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, November 20, 2026, at Skinner Funeral Home, Eaton Rapids Chapel. The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM, with a luncheon immediately following the service. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in memory of Cheryl.
