Grand Ledge, Michigan
Charles Gregory "Greg" Raycraft, born on November 11, 1946, in Lansing, Michigan, was a man who truly embodied the spirit of Michigan. His life was characterized by a loyal dedication to his family, a spirited passion for his beloved Michigan State Spartans, and a steadfast commitment to his work as a concrete contractor. Greg was a man who knew how to live life to the fullest, whether he was enjoying a good cigar, driving his cherished Corvette, or transforming his garage into a bar, a feat that won him the Lansing State Journal Spartan Spirit Room Award.
Greg’s' life was also marked by his dedicated service as a concrete contractor with Lansing Poured Walls. His work ethic was unrivaled, and he brought the same level of commitment and dedication to his hobbies. An avid golfer, Greg was often seen on the greens, perfecting his swing. But perhaps his most cherished pastime was cheering on his beloved MSU Spartans. His love for family and his MSU Spartans were the essence of Greg, and the legacy he leaves behind is a testament to his life's priorities.
Greg is survived by his loving daughter, Wendy (Jeff) Marcero; his son, Paul Raycraft; his sister, Kimberly (Harold) Raycraft, and his sister Kelly (Al) Fifield. His grandchildren, Tiffiney(Keith) Landry, Ashley, Matthew and Charlie Raycraft; Emily (Brett) Ridener and Adam (Sara) Marcero. His great grandchildren, Kaleb, Chandler, Pe’Air and DeMario. His nieces Samantha (Adrian) Adioetomo and Caitlin (LD) Ortis; great niece, Veda Ortis and great nephew, Wells Ortis. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Mary Sue; loving parents, Ray and Ilene; his son, Nicholas; his sister, Susan; his great-grandson, Chance Raycraft, and his beloved dog and best friend, Izzy.
