Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the age 77. Born March 7, 1944 to Royce and Virginia (Robinson) Rodgers in Lansing, Michigan. Bonnie owned and operated an in-home daycare in Lansing for many years. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church where she played the piano and most recently a member of Compass Church in Mason. Bonnie enjoyed camping and spending time on Michigan's Great Lakes. She enjoyed crocheting and would make hats, mittens and scarfs as part of her mission work. Bonnie loved Jesus and her family. They were always most important in her life and it showed in everything she did. Bonnie was loved by many and will be dearly missed by those who remember her. Preceding her in death were her parents and grandson, Branden Bunting; step-daughter, Patricia Gasch and step-granddaughter, Jennifer Lucy.
Surviving are her children, Melita (Mike) McGehee, David (Lauri) Rhodes, Rachel (Brian) Gallimore, Cathy (Dave) Matney, Bonnie (Randy) Bunting, Gordon (Heather) Rhodes, Rebekah (Deron) McClelland, Karen (Jim) Calhoun; step-children, Robert (Lani) Rhodes, Ranald (Diane) Rhodes, Christian (Mike) Lucy, Michael (Pam) Rhodes, Stephen (Sharon) Rhodes, James (Ann) Rhodes, Nathan (Gemma) Rhodes; 41 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; sisters, Betty Burlew, Bethel (Mick) Mosko, Shirley (John) Lorencen, Beverly (Rick) Kaiser as well as many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, October 15, 2021 at Grand Ledge Baptist Church. Family will receive friends for visitation from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday at the church.
