Beverly Jo Reaves

Beverly Jo Reaves of Dimondale, MI passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the age of 70. Beverly was born on June 23, 1950 in Lansing, MI the daughter of John and Helen (Rohrbacher) Bodo, Jr. She was raised in Lansing and graduated from Lansing Everett High School, class of 1968. While in high school, at the age of 16, Beverly began dating Donald Reaves. They married at the age of 19. Beverly spent most of her life raising her three children and caring for her grandchildren, whom she adored. She most recently worked for Dimondale Elementary as a lunchroom supervisor and enjoyed her interaction with the children. She was an active member of the Lansing Area Church of Christ where she served in the children's ministry. Beverly was always hardworking and active. She was a dog lover and had many loyal companions over the years. She was a frequent blood donor with the American Red Cross. Above all she loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed watching her grandchildren as they competed in sports, performed in musicals and dance recitals and various other activities.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant son, Chad Allen. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Donald Reaves; children: Debbie (Joe) Cooper, Christan (John) Carlson, Doug (Crista) Reaves; grandchildren: Jaynee (Sam) Bilbey, Jarret Cooper, Elizabeth Cooper, Mitchell Carlson, Rachel Carlson, Ella Reaves, Annabel Reaves, Michael Cooper, Charlotte Reaves, Addison Cooper; brother, Randy Bodo and numerous extended family and friends.
