Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, May 10, 2026 at the age of 88. Born February 1, 1938 to William and Irene (Zischke) Verhoeven Jr. in Lansing, Michigan. Betty married John Williams on April 25, 1959. Together they were faithful members of Holt United Methodist Church for over 40 years. Betty worked as an administrative assistant for the State of Michigan where she retired. Later her and her husband went on to own and operate On the Spot Engraving in Lansing. Betty was an avid sports fan passionate about her Detroit Tigers, Lions, and MSU Spartans. For many years she golfed and bowled in leagues with William. Betty was savvy, successful, and smart. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all who remember her. Preceding her in death were her husband, William Ellsworth; daughter, Bethany Jo Bigelow, as well as her parents.

Surviving are her sons, Eric (Mary) Williams, Timothy (Jenny) Williams; son-in-law, Monty Bigelow; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; siblings, Mary Jane (Norman) Smith, Judy (Kenny) Predmore, Karol Ball, Bruce (Robin) Elliott, Darlene, Bonnie, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
