Argus "Arkie" M. Watters Obituary (1934 - 2009)

Argus "Arkie" M. Watters Onondaga, MI. Age 74, died Thursday, March 19, 2009 at his residence. Born August 8, 1934 in Yardelle, AK., the son of J.B and Eunice Waters. Arkie served in the Naval Reserves for 32 years stationed in Lansing and chose truck driving as a profession. A member of the Onondaga Sportsman's Club, the Holt/Mason Eagles lodge# 3734, the VFW post# 7309 in Mason and the Naval Enlisted Reserve Association. Preceding him in death was his first wife Jacqueline M. (Barnhart) in 1972 and a daughter, Andrea Jarrad in 2004. Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Robin; daughter, Jeri (Pat) Grover of Shepherd, MI.; 3 grandsons and 2 granddaughters; 3 great grandsons; brother, Rev. George (Jean) Watters of Ohio and sister, Ellen (Gary) Agle of Farwell; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Monday, March 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. from the Skinner Funeral Home in Eaton Rapids. Burial with military honors will follow in the Onondaga Cemetery.
