Annie Leola Freeman

Passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at age 66. Born August 7, 1945 to Mattie (Biggs) and Samuel Duncan Sr. in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Annie moved to Michigan with her family in the early 1950's. She attended Lansing Public Schools and graduated from Sexton High School. She then went on to classes at Lansing Business University. Annie retired from the State of Michigan (MDPH) after many years of service. She was also a secretary for MSU several years prior. Preceding her in death were her parents; brothers, Samuel Jr. and Wayne Duncan; nephews, Calvin and Norris Duncan and sister-in-law, Mary and Annie of Los Angeles.
Surviving are her son, Evan Duncan Freeman; brothers, William and James of Los Angeles, CA; sister-in-law, Cozetta Duncan; significant other, Thomas Remington; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends including life long friends, Barbara Jones and Betty Nixon.
