Jamie L. Bishop Obituary (1951 - 2021)

Jamie Leone Bishop of Lansing Passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at the age of 70. Born June 19, 1951 the only child of Charles and Alma (Fancher) Lawrence in Lansing, Michigan. Jamie honorably served in the US Air Force. It was on a blind date at March Air Force Base in Riverside, California that she met her soon to be husband, Gaylen Bishop. Jamie enjoyed art. She was an oil painter and crafter. She appreciated nature and enjoyed painting all of its beauty. Jamie had a green thumb and could grow anything including African Violets. She was an animal lover and especially fond of dogs and cats. Her untimely passing will leave a void in the hearts of all who remember her. Preceding her in death were her parents. Surviving are her husband of 50 years, Gaylen Bishop; daughters, Heather Lynn Bishop, Deana Marie Lawrence; grandson, Seth Dean Lawrence and her Norwegian Elk Hound, Bear. A memorial graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing.
